As the tradition for Legacy Art, celebrities brighten the evening’s festivities. There are the old favorites and a few new faces lined up so far this year and more will be announced as plans gel.
New to Legacy Art this year is the beautiful and multi-talented stage, film and television actress Joyce DeWitt.
Joyce DeWitt is best known for her role as Janet Wood during the 1977–1984 run of the sitcom Three’s Company. Following Three’s Company, Joyce returned to her passion of performing live on stage theatre with a part in a production of Noises Off at Michigan’s Cherry County Playhouse in June 1991.
Joyce continued in TV and film producing, hosting and making several appearances including the 1995 TV comedy film Spring Fling!, Hope Island, 18, The Nick at Nite Holiday Special, and Call of the Wild, the 2003 NBC-TV television film Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three’s Company, with actress Melanie Deanne Moore portraying her during her time on Three’s Company, and the independent film Failing Better Now.
Last year in 2011, Joyce starred in the play Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating & Marriage on in New York.
Joyce has shares her passion of the theatre with charity work including participating with members of the House and Senate at the Capitol Hill Forum on Hunger and Homelessness and hosting presentations for the Family Assistance Program of Hollywood. She hosted the International Awards Ceremony at the White House for the Presidential End Hunger Awards, and co-hosted, with Jeff Bridges, the World Food Day Gala at the Kennedy Center
